I’m a professional dilettante: a textile fanatic, painter of galaxies, editor extraordinaire, amateur photographer, and all around maker of Things, fervently wishing for more hands.
I can usually be found somewhere in New England, but I am also all over the Internet! I’m the Editor- in- Chief over at Knit Edge magazine, I teach at Craftsy; most recently, I’ve written for xoJane, BlogHer, New Mobility, as well as others, and I’ve been interviewed about disability too many times to count.
I’m always game to talk about crafting, writing, yoga, meditation, knitting, sheep, yarn, wool, handspinning, dyeing, skin care, artisan culture, running, Buddhism, minimalism, hiking, comic books, dogs, and food. Especially food. Also PTSD, multiple sclerosis, disability and disability culture, ableism, racism, tearing down white supremacy, intersectional feminism, smashing the patriarchy, and generally making the world a better, gentler, kinder place for everybody. Wanna talk, or hang out, or ask me something? Go ahead.
