in which it has begun

Red canoe

Another morning at the Red Canoe. I spent the afternoon working on the house again, pawing through boxes, weeding, and of course, dyeing.

Dyeing 1

When Gryphon sent me off with bags full of base yarns, I thought to myself, Oh, I'll get to this gradually, how fun! But honestly, I think once I'd agreed to take the bags I knew it would be like this. I've dyed four different test batches out of yarn I'd had left over- mostly sea glass blues and mossy greens. It is an addiction, I think. This weekend I'll take on the real yarns. (I can't wait.)

Welcome home! I’m glad to see that you’re continuing your blog and it looks like you’ve been busy with lots of fun things, that’s a gorgeous blue. Did my little package ever make it to you?

That blue is beautiful! It’s amazing how a photo of yarn in a pot of colored water makes me so happy inside. 🙂 I am glad you are doing something fun that makes you happy. Welcome home!
