in which there is a small, but important announcement

I drove out to visit Gryphon today; spent the afternoon at her studio, meeting Rachel, Margarita, and Helen.

There was some dyeing done, too.

This wasn't just a social call- although to be honest, it was a lot of that. When I was home in November, Gryphon invited me to join her at The Sanguine Gryphon as her partner. It didn't take very long for me to decide that was something I wanted to do, but I've kept it quiet until I came home, just to play it safe.

We've started the process of joining forces (what a wonderfully comc- book type phrase!), and I left her house this afternoon with a bag full of base yarns to play with, although I don't officially start until June. It's an addiction, I confess. Seeing all of Gryphon's lovely colors reminded me how much I've missed making my own.

So there's the announcement- that question I've ducked answering for so long: I'm one half of the Sanguine Gryphon! How exciting is that? It is very exciting, let me tell you, and not just because I got to fondle a tub of Bugga!

I can't wait to make my own.

Hooray! I need to blog about it too. I’ve known for six months, of course, but I still feel like a little kid getting a present!!

Welcome to the party 🙂 speaking as a dedicated Gryphon shopper, it will be exciting to see how the palette is affected by a second mad scientist in the dyepots.

Sarah has become the Sanguine to Geraldine’s Gryphon. Sounds like a match made in heaven. 🙂
