Another few miles down tonight- a gently run, slow and steady towards the north end of post, shorter than last night. Back in my room, I rub liniment into my sore muscles and think, Hello legs. I remember what you're for. It came back so quickly: the careful line of the spine, the lovely gliding stride, the absolute internal silence that comes with pushing my body.
Oh, I've missed this.
