in which yarn is won, and I continue to have the plague

Congratulations to Kate! Hands to heaven, Kate- the Random Number Generator picked you.  How about I bring the Silky Wool to Gryphon’s on Sunday?

In other news, still fighting off what we’re beginning to refer to as The New Mexican Death; when my brother- in- law came to visit he brought this horrible thing with him. I feel totally ripped off- I got the flu shot (and every other shot I can think of!) in February, so why am I sick now? If I was going to get sick anyways, why get the stupid shot?

I’m not going to let a cold crash the awesomely chill weekend I have set up, though. Tomorrow I telecommute, which I think will take me through to the end of this thing- I don’t usually get sick for more than a day or two. Saturday night is the stitch and bitch at Spinster Yarn and Fibers, and Sunday afternoon is the spin- in at The Sanguine Gryphon! It’s about the best weekend I can imagine.

In the meantime, I knit. A lot. So much, actually, that my wrist is starting to complain. Are there some sort of knitter- specific forearm/ wrist stretches I could be doing? Maybe some arm yoga? I’m open to ideas.  Also, if I knit while I’m sick, will the germs wash out?  I don’t want to make myself sick again.

Kate winning it is the only thing that makes me happier than me winning it. No, getting to see you Sunday makes me happiest of all! Kate’s coming early to help with some tent painting, interested…??
