New Great Yarn Giveaway!

Hooray for lace!

Today, I’m giving away two skeins of wool laceweight yarn (Ravelry link here, regular web link here) in the colorway Persephone. There are 850 yards per skein. Actually, one is still in skein form, and the other is in a cake. This is a slim singles lace yarn in purples and grays.

(I apologize for the rather crap photo. I tried, but the light was terrible and for some reason this colorway was horrible to get right. I went with the image that was most color- correct, but it’s not very… attractive… as an example of product photography. Honest, I’ll do better next time.)

I’m told that is related to Malabrigo, and I’m pretty sure that’s true- same colorways, sometimes the same colorway names, and many of the yarns feel the same. Gorgeous stuff, either way!

As usual- one winner will be selected via the Random Number Generator, my new favorite toy! The other winner will be the first person to respond in the comments telling me who Behemoth, Leviathan and Ziz are. That’s it- easy peasy, right? Comments close 18 March 2008, at 1600 (that’s 4 pm) Eastern time.

If you leave your email address in the comments, it will be very easy for me to contact you! No pressure, but there are a few winners who still haven’t reached me about their prizes, and I’m worried that I’ll leave and they’ll never get them. Please, either leave your email address/ blog address in the comments when you play, or come back to the website to check and see if you won!

Good luck, everyone!

    In Jewish belief:
Behemoth is the primal unconquerable monster of the land
Leviathan is the primal monster of the waters of the sea
Ziz is the primordial monster of the sky.

I’m laughing because that’s happened to me where the light just won’t cooperate so many times lately. I’m hoping the change in times will give me more light to work with and help out. Looks gorgeous, though. I’m keeping my fingers crossed, as I’ve never tried lace weight and I’ve been super anxious to try. My thought was, I’d wait for spring to be here (it’s still like 30 degrees here in RI) and it will be nice in the warmer weather.
Wow–cell phone. That IS a bad day! Poor thing…I’m glad you got the yarn. 🙂

Judging from the amount of raves about malabrigo on the net, it must be pretty awesome.

    That yarn is totally beautiful.
I know what you mean about the light not cooperating. Right now it feels like we’ll never see the sun properly again over here *sigh*
