My word/intention is almost too woo for me to say out loud. The fact that it chose me is even squeeenchier (But it did. How the eff do I explain that?) Last year’s I forgot entirely for the last 6 months, and it somehow still was perfect. This year, it’s Devotion (oh god. I said it. But it’s very like TAPAS, so I’m getting more comfortable…)

I’ve done the Iron Girl Triathlon three times and every time, the running part kills me. I want to be able to run more, better and to have fun doing it. I have friends who do the Rock-n-Roll Half in Virginia Beach every year on Labor Day weekend. My goal is to join them this year. I’ve set myself smaller goals along the way…to run a 5K without stopping to walk by my birthday at the end of January (Already rgistered for the Penguin Pace 5K on 2/4/12), to run a 10K in the spring, and maybe a ten-miler in the summer.

I love the word of the year idea. My husband has done a similar thing for the past few years, coming up with a theme for the year. Thanks so much for sharing. Your writing always resonates with me.
