Crisp morning runs, breaking out my sweaters, evenings around the fire, cider, dead leaves, the colors, baking, thick serious soups, sleeping with my window open, working outside, the amazing smell, perfect hair, cream of wheat for breakfast, maple sugar, candy corn easily available in any store I might enter, Halloween, pumpkins, and casting on for mittens. It's all wonderful.
(What am I missing?)
My favorite thing about fall is taking a walk through the leaves and hearing the crunch and shuffle of the dead leaves as you step through them. That and going to farms for pumpkins and mazes. There’s just something very magical about fall that none of the other seasons have.
Great list! I’d add honey crisp apples. I’m eating one right now!
Thanks for the spinning lesson last Saturday. I can’t stop thinking about spinning now. I’ve got the itch. And this is precisely why I swore I’d wait until the kid was in high school before taking up spinning. Oh well! I’m definitely not waiting now.
connecticut!! you’re missing connecticut!!
The problem for me is that you’ve listed everything I could think of I love about the fall except for my birthday – November 4th.
Today, however, I found the response to your list: a candy corn hat – at http://www.materialwhirled.com/2009-Candy-Corn-Hat-Kit-NEW-pr-689.html
Shall I make it for you? It would be my pleasure!
