in which I quit my job

Happy hour

Happy hour yesterday with Will and Dawn. It's good to see our friends again; they remind me a little of Sam and I when we were first together.

Last day

I went into the office for the last time today. My boss took me to lunch, HR handed me some forms to fill out, I handed in my corporate credit card, gave out some hugs, and that was that. It's mind- boggling: I quit my job. I quit. I'm done. Footloose and fancy free and more than a little freaked out about it, but I'm getting better. I am now a full- time me- yarnie, occasional photographer, general goofball.

Wow.

I have a lot to say about this, about the transition and the future, but I'm still processing and tonight is for celebrating- gin and tonics on the porch with Sam.

I can't believe I really did it.
